Team Purpose:
Put together a 14U A-level team who’s goals are two-fold – 1) Improve each individuals players skills and athletic ability to facilitate playing
softball at the collegiate level. 2) Utilize my connections with college coaches throughout the Southeast to jump-start the recruiting process.
Type of Player We’re Looking For: To compete at the highest level, we’re looking for A-level athletes who are ready to commit to softball as their
primary sport with the end-goal of playing softball in college.
Development Model: We will focus on practice and development, seeking to play in only high quality tournaments. Our goal is to qualify for the ASA Nationals in Normal, Illinois.
Tryouts: We will hold closed tryouts on August 19th in the Knoxville area. Players will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate, a copy of
their final 2011/2012 report card and their practice equipment.
Team Fees: Fielding a travel team is an expensive proposition. As such, each player will need to provide $450 to cover association dues,
uniforms, tournament fees, etc… In addition, we will be holding two fundraisers during the fall and winter “off-season” to bring in an additional $200 per player. Parents will also need to realize that we will be traveling outside the Knoxville area for most tournaments.
